2019 Summer Repertory Theatre Intensive

The Summer Repertory Theatre Intensive (SRTI) is an exciting, unique program for students who are seriously considering a career or college major in theatre performance or production.  There are 2 tracks: Performance Track for those interested in performance and Production Track for those interested in theatre design/tech.  Students spend the afternoons in classes with West Michigan area theatre professionals and evenings in either rehearsal for one of the two productions (Performance Track) or working with our team of professional designers on the production elements for the two productions (Production Track).

SRTI students also participate in Masterclasses with industry professionals from all over the country, and attend a field trip to Chicago for a Masterclass with Actor’s Gymnasium and a production at LOOKINGGLASS THEATRE, and will see the Broadway touring production of Anastasia.

The two SRTI productions this year are: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (play) and All Shook Up (musical).

Students must be no younger than 6th grade and no older than 12th grade at the time of auditions.  PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THROUGH THE PROGRAM INFORMATION THOROUGHLY to understand the commitment SRTI requires both in terms of time and the high level of classroom & rehearsal expectations.  While theatre experience & training is not REQUIRED to audition, those with little or no theatre experience may find this program to be extremely challenging.

Program Dates: June 24 – August 4, 2019

Tuition for the Performance Track is $450.

Tuition for the Production Track is $250.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due by April 19th and the full tuition amount is due by June 3rd.  A limited number of need based scholarships are available and applications can be requested upon acceptance into the program. Scholarship Applications are due by May 10th.

There will be a MANDATORY ORIENTATION for parents and students accepted into the program on Friday, May 10th from 5:30-7:00pm.
