BENEATH THE STAGE: Pit Orchestra Workshop HOLIDAY SHOW EDITION
Interested in the role of a Pit Musician and the musical magic they create?
This is your opportunity to join professional musicians beneath the Meijer Majestic stage as they perform a live Broadway score! Beneath the Stage: Pit Orchestra Workshop is an immersive, behind-the-scenes experience to witness everything that goes into being in a Grand Rapids Civic Theatre orchestra.
Join the musicians for a Q&A, tour our historic performing space, and sit in the pit for a live performance of CATS!
*A ticket to CATS! will be provided for parent or guardian who accompanies student to their Participation Night.

Wig Styling and Maintenance WORKSHOP
Have you ever worn a wig in a show or for fun? Do you want to know how to work with or style your own wigs? Civic Theatre Wig Designer, Brandon Shafer leads this workshop demonstrating basic styling techniques – a mix of theater techniques and concepts to use for your own cosplay and personal wigs at home. From steaming the wig (taking out factory curl or previous style), setting the wig with rollers (putting in new curl for new design) and styling the wig to completion, Brandon will teach you all of the tips and tricks!
