This season features several plays and musicals Civic Theatre has never produced. We open in September with a local premiere of the heartwarming story of The Dixie Swim Club. Then, in October, we will find out how flat the world is in a delightful new children’s classic, Flat Stanley. Come celebrate the Holidays with Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. In January, Rebecca Gilman’s adaptation of Carson McCullers’ haunting novel comes vividly to life in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. We return to Anatevka in March for the classic musical, Fiddler on the Roof and to Prince Edward Island for a new musical version of Anne of Green Gables in April. June finds us in Harvard Yard for the Legally Blonde The Musical, hot off Broadway. Our Summer Repertory Theatre will feature local playwright Max Bush’s new adaptation of Twelve Dancing Princesses and the new teen musical Changing Minds.
