Emilie Smith

Dance Teacher

Emilie is happy to be returning to Civic after living in Northern Michigan. She has been active in theatre and dance at Civic, both performing and teaching, starting with her first musical at 8 years old! Emilie holds a BFA from New York University, where she studied acting. A favorite opportunity has been performing at the Cotton Club with her partner and first tap teacher, her dad (who is actually still dancing.) Emilie has had the joy of teaching and choreographing at many different places over the years, but being at Civic always feels like coming home.
