Our Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM-5 PM. You also reach them by email at or by phone at (616) 222-6650.


We neither control nor endorse resellers who are not associated with our venue and often price our tickets significantly higher than face value. Buy from us and you never have to worry. 


Performance Times


Wednesday – Saturday evenings at 7:30pm
Sundays at 2:00pm
*Children and Holiday productions also have Saturday matinees at 2:00pm


Parking and Arrival Times


Please allow at least 30 minutes to park and arrive at the Theatre once you are downtown.  A parking map can be found on our directions and parking page (Click for Map).  Doors open for seating 30 minutes before each performance.  Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled performance time.


Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager at the first appropriate and safe break that allows for the least disruption for the actors and audience.  Alternate seating will be assigned, meaning that your party will not sit together or in the seats that were originally assigned.


No Refunds


Tickets are non-refundable and no credits can be issued for unused tickets.


Vouchers and Gift Certificates


Gift cards can be purchased online, through our Box Office, or over the phone.

Please note both gift cards and vouchers must be exchanged for a ticket in person during normal business hours at the Box Office. Gift cards and vouchers do not guarantee admission to a performance if not redeemed in advance. They may not be exchanged for cash, there are no refunds, and they may not be combined with other offers. Photocopies are not accepted. 


Performance Cancellations


Performance cancellations due to weather or other circumstances are very rare. When a performance must be cancelled, we will make every attempt to contact you and to make arrangements for an alternative date. Please note: Civic Theatre does not offer refunds due to bad weather when a performance is taking place.


Child Attendance


Civic Theatre has a “no babe in arms” policy.  Per Grand Rapids Fire Marshall all attendees must have a ticket.  Please make sure you review the recommended audience listing and refrain from bringing children to productions that may not be suited for a younger audience.


Hearing Assistance


We offer the Hearing Loop System and a hearing device that can be checked out from the Lobby Box Office prior to that performance, free of charge!
