WHERE IS Grand Rapids CIVIC THEATRE LOCATED?

Civic is located at 30 Division Ave North, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Our cross streets are Division and Library, and Sheldon aka “Rainbow Road” is the boulevard located behind the theatre. 

GETTING HERE

While Grand Rapids Civic Theatre does not own any parking ourselves, we want to help ensure your visit is as seamless as possible. Below you will find local public parking options as well as alternative transportation methods of getting you to and from the theatre.

PUBLIC PARKING

Most metered street parking is free after 6:00pm daily, and all day on the weekends. Monitoring hours may be verified via the schedule posted on the actual parking meter. Be sure to check to avoid possible fines. Please refer to the map below to see the location of nearby neighborhood parking options.

 

Alternative Transportation Methods

  • Elder Rides : Elder Rides & More is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation(NEMT) provider. They provide rides to people of all ages, with or without disabilities, across the greater Grand Rapids Area. Their specialty is senior transportation and can assist those who are able to walk (ambulatory) and those requiring a wheelchair.   • Go!Bus: Go!Bus is a shared ride, advanced reservation, ADA paratransit service intended to provide a comparable level of transportation to that which is provided by a The Rapid fixed-route bus. GO!Bus riders share trips if they are generally traveling in the same direction at the same time. Trips are scheduled without regard to the purpose of the trip.The Rapid also provides GO!Bus service to non-disabled seniors (NDS) aged 65 and older. For more information, call 616-456-6141.

 

  • DASH Downtown Area Shuttle: The Downtown Area Shuttle, or DASH, is a system of small buses connecting key downtown Grand Rapids locations and parking lots. DASH is free to ride and provides residents, workers and visitors convenient connections to all parts of the core of downtown Grand Rapids. This service is made possible by the City of Grand Rapids and operated by The Rapid. Free DASH routes run every 8 minutes from Monday through Saturday.   • RideLink: The Rapid participates in RideLink, a network of area transportation providers. RideLink offers transportation to persons aged 60 or older to any destination, including doctor visits, recreational visits, and shopping trips within Kent County. Providers include Hope Network Transportation, Senior Neighbors, Kent County Community Action, United Methodist Community House and The Rapid. GO!Bus vehicles provide trips for RideLink.
