Ruth Ann Molenaar
She/Her
Early Elementary and Acting Teacher
Ruth Ann has a wide variety of stage credits from community theaters across West Michigan. In 1987 she got her start at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre landing a small speaking role in A Chorus Line. After being “cut” in the opening act of A Chorus Line, she spent the rest of the show singing backup and dressing one of the lead actors. She has been in love with theater ever since.
From Grand Rapids Circle Theatre to Actor’s Theatre, Robeson Players, Jewish Theatre and Ebony Road Players, Ruth Ann has been on stage or behind the scenes in some capacity whether in a leading role, ensemble, stage manager, assistant director and choreographer.
She is looking forward to sharing the knowledge she has garnered over the past 37 years, and is excited to be joining and working along-side the teaching staff at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.
