Lauren Davidson (she/her) is excited to join the team as a Teaching Artist at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre! Lauren is very passionate about theatre and music, and enjoys being both on and off stage. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Grand Valley State University and is an elementary music teacher at Grandville Public Schools. In addition to her work with students during the day, Lauren has also music directed several adult and youth productions in the Grand Rapids area, and is currently working on Frozen Jr. with Jenison Junior High Theatre. When she’s not teaching, Lauren regularly performs as a vocalist with VoxGR Choral Ensemble, and has been in several Shadblow Theatre productions such as The Sound of Music (Sister Berthe), Into the Woods (Lucinda), and The Music Man (Ethel Toffelmier). She has been singing as a soloist with the Sturgis Wind Symphony for over 20 years and still returns a few times a year to sing and play French horn. Lauren has enjoyed being a patron of Grand Rapids Civic Theatre for the last several years, and is so excited to now be a Teaching Artist and help students explore their creativity in the performing arts.
