Kat joined Civic in 2022, after earning her Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design. Prior to arriving in GR and making her Civic mainstage design debut with Once On This Island, her recent design work includes scenery and projections for productions at Illinois Theatre, Lyric Theatre @ Illinois, and Walnut Street Theatre. Kat also has a special interest in design for immersive environments, and has worked on several escape rooms. Prior to grad school, Kat studied theatre and engineering at Smith College before working as a carpenter and props artisan at a number of professional theatres around the country. In her free time, Kat loves learning new crafts and exploring the outdoors, with a goal to visit all of the National Parks someday.
