Dez has worked on over 60 productions in the West Michigan area. For over a decade, she has enjoyed being involved in the community in many different roles. Her theatre career includes Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, Circle Theatre, Grand Rapids Opera, Grand Rapids Ballet, Saugatuck Center for the Arts, Comstock Park High School, and Northview High School. Some of her favorite productions to be involved with are Sister Act (2016) and Once on this Island (2023) at GRCT, Catch Me If You Can (2015) and Dreamgirls (2025) at Circle Theatre. Additionally, Dez is part of the Stagehand union, IATSE local 26, where she’s been a dresser for shows such as: The Lion King (2025) at Miller Auditorium and Wicked (2024) at Broadway GR.
