Bart has over 25 years of expertise in improvisational acting and teaching. He has performed and taught for Groundlings East and Gotham City Improv in New York City, and The LA Connection Comedy Club in Los Angeles. Bart has called Grand Rapids home since 2012 and has performed regularly at GRCT and other venues around town since. He is the author of the book HEALING IMPROV: A JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF TO LAUGHTER and is a nationally recognized speaker and presenter at grief conferences, using improv workshops to help those struggling on a grief journey. Bart loves seeing the effect improv has on students, and seeing the “light turn on” when they experience the power of “Yes, and…” both on stage, and in their everyday lives.
