What inspires you?
People’s intrinsic need for stories. From the time we’re born, we crave the love, knowledge, and intimacy they build in us. Every vehicle for story that we have–books, plays, ballets, song lyrics, friends at dinner, even really good commercials–inspire me to give everything I have to tell them with all the emotional honesty in my guts!

Who is your favorite fictional character?
Kermit The Frog and Jane Eyre. They both have a vast capacity for love, loyalty, integrity and patience, and hold fast to those traits despite being decidedly not beautiful by society’s standards. They say you have to kiss a lot of ‘frogs’ before you meet your prince, but they’re both royalty to me! SMOOCH!!

What was your favorite after school snack growing up?
Oreo cookies. Still are…
