volunteer  internship  opportunities

We are currently looking for interns in these areas:

  • Marketing – Responsibilities and tasks include:
  1. Manage, support and/or assist with a range of events,
  2. Assist in the research and cultivation of new sponsorship opportunities
  3. Provide support on development & community relations projects
  4.  Monitor show attendances counts
  5.  Write Press Releases
  6. Update community calendars for current and upcoming season
  7. Research play selections for promotional content
  8. Take meeting minutes
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

  • Media & Journalism – Responsibilities and tasks include:
  1.  Write press releases and other materials
  2. Create interview preparation materials
  3. Compile contact lists
  4. Create or update databases
  5. Attend/conduct interviews
  6. Assist with editorial projects and provide support for articles being published
  7. Proofread both electronic files, basic copy editing, and writing
  8. Assist with Social Media marketing and promotions
  9. Work on special projects, meetings, and promotional events, as needed
  10. Assist in fact checking
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

  • Community Outreach – Responsibilities and tasks include:
  1. Assist with nurturing relationships with Grand Rapids community
  2. Develop target list of potential community partners
  3. Develop relationships and facilitate communication with local schools & community organizations to enhance the work of GRCT
  4. Build awareness with community organizations, general public, and donors
  5. Administrative duties as required
