Cast Photos and Bios

  Mark Ayers (Smith) is a six-time blood donation life-saver who will be attending Marquette University in the fall as an Engineering major. He has performed in Once Upon a Mattress (King Sextime), Oklahoma! (Will Parker), Stage Door (David Kingsley), and Bye Bye Birdie (Conrad Birdie) at West Catholic and Strega Nona (Big Anthony) at JHM. Mark has played piano for five years, saxophone for four years, and taught himself guitar.
  Kevin Chambers (Hort) is thankful to be making his theatre debut at GRCT. Though he has never appeared onstage before, he has taken GRCC’s Intro to Acting course and has read An Actor Prepares and Building a Character by Konstantin Stanislavsky and The Power of the Actor by Ivana Chubbuck. Kevin has been a model for Traque & Donna as well as Unique Models. He attended Hollywood Bootcamp to work with Chambers Stevens. Kevin’s interests include girls, hip-hop dancing, and his career of becoming an actor.
  Stephen Cornelius (Musician) is a graduate of East Grand Rapids HS and is currently a sophomore at Hope University, where he is working on a double major: Technical Theatre and Computer Engineering. He is also part of the theatre lighting crew at Hope. This is Stephen’s 2nd (and final) year in GRCT’s Summer Repertory Troupe. Last year, he played Zero in Holes.
  Geo Hernandez (Brian) is happy to be making his first appearance on the Civic stage after a two-year break from theatre. He as worked at “The Haunt” for two years, but hopes to one day work in the film or television industry. Next fall, Geo will be a junior at Catholic Central where he is the anchor of his school’s broadcast news program. Geo is on the Scavenger Hunt Clothing business card, and he enjoys playing electric guitar and bass.
  Marijke Kremin (Lara) will be a junior at East Grand Rapids HS next fall. Audience members may recognize her from last year’s SRT production of Holes or GRHS’s productions of Snake in the Grass, Pride and Prejudice, or Fiddler on the Roof. Marijke has also completed the Theatre Wheel at GRCT as well as been a TA for GRCT’s summer camps. She has also done props for Comedy of Errors and stage managed a variety show. She likes foreign languages, popsicles, and world history (AP style).
  Anthony O. McAllister (Bogle) wants “all my family and friends to cheer for me even when you’re not supposed to.” He describes himself as quiet and mysterious with a “great sense of humor” and likes reading and writing. Anthony played one of Joseph’s brothers in his high school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and has participated in four years of choir and two years of a small jazz ensemble.
  Julia Nichols (Tauger) is a senior at Rockford HS where she has stage managed two shows and been on stage crew for the last three years. Julia played in last year’s SRT production of Holes (Stanley’s Mother) and has crewed three other Civic shows. Julia would like to move to Chicago after graduation. She also loves gummy worms..
  Lauren Sheppard (Thistle) is excited to be a part of 13 Bells of Boglewood. She’s played a village girl in WMAMG’s Fiddle on the Roof, Gertie Cummins in Wayland Community Theatre’s Oklahoma!, and was recently Peaseblossom/Philistrate in Wayland Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Lauren has worked crew for Circle Theatre’s Beauty and the Beast, Puss in Boots, Moby Dick, and Almost Maine. When not hanging around the stage, Lauren enjoys singing, playing piano and guitar, and knee boarding on the lake. She would like to thank her mom, dad, brother, and grandparents for all their constant support.
