Julia Freyer   Julia Freyer (Bird, Mouse, Squirrel, Young Frog, Snow Leopard) is a familiar face at Civic, most recently performing in Gypsy (the hind end of the cow). Other Civic credits include Ragtime, Kiss Me Kate, The Boxcar Children, Anne of Green Gables, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, and Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Julia has performed at other area theatres including Actors (The Rocky Horror Show) and Circle Theatre (most recently in Beauty and the Beast as "Babette"). She has spent the past two summers at Ann Reinking's Broadway Theatre Project and appeared on Bravo TV's On with the Show. Julia is a senior at City High.
Stephen Grzybowski   Stephen Grzybowski (Bird, Snail, Lizard, Father Frog, Snow Leopard) made his debut on the Civic Theatre stage in Civic's 2000 production of The Wizard of Oz. Since then, he has made his mark in Grand Rapids appearing in shows such as Cinderella (Civic Theatre), The Rocky Horror Show (Actor's Theatre), Androcles and The Lion (Magic Circle), and most recently he appeared as "LeFou" in Circle Theatre's production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys reading, drawing, singing, and hanging out with friends. "Thank you to my mentors, family and encouraging friends, Randy and Dan."
Andrew Schneider   Andrew Schneider (Toad) has appeared in productions, including, Sweeney Todd, Ragtime, Always Patsy Cline, The Wizard of Oz, Scrooge, Fiddler on the Roof, Cinderella and more. Most recently, Andrew was seen as "Cogsworth" in Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Circle Theatre, where he has appeared on stage and stage managed. Andrew's other stage managing credits include Gypsy, Scrooge, Kiss Me Kate, and Cinderella (Civic Theatre). He also just finished a summer serving as a member of the stage management team at Mason Street Warehouse, where he also appeared in the regional theatre premiere of Urinetown.
Ginger Child Smith   Ginger Child Smith (Bird, Turtle, Squirrel, Mother Frog, Snow Leopard) was last seen on the Civic stage in Kiss Me Kate. Ginger has also performed with Circle Theatre, the Bay View Music Festival and Cherry Country Playhouse in productions including Oklahoma, A Chorus Line and Annie. At Hope College, Ginger appeared in Candide, The Good Person of Setzuan and The Bald Soprano. She also trained at The Second City in Chicago. A Michigan Star Search winner at age 9, Ginger plans to graduate from Hope College this winter with a BA in Spanish and Women's Studies. Steve Taber   Steve Taber (Frog) first appeared on Civic's stage thirty years ago in Journey's End. Since then, he appeared in many shows including The Foreigner, Black Comedy, Amadeus, Annie Get Your Gun, and South Pacific. Steve has worked with every theatre group in the West Michigan area. Most recently, he has appeared in A Man of No Importance at Actors Theatre and as Herbie in Gypsy at the GRCT. He is a freelance writer and producer, and is responsible for writing and producing all of the TV and Radio ads for the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and Actors Theatre.
