Carleen Armstrong (Isabel) is a graduate of Cornerstone University with a BA in Communication Arts and a minor in Theatre. With Cornerstone, She was nominated for a Grand Award for her performances in The Last Night of Ballyhoo and The Man Who Came to Dinner. Carleen has performed locally in The Cherry Orchard (Heritage Theatre Group) and Ghost Moments (Lost in the Cove Productions). Recently she performed Sonata Blue with Lost in the Cove in Minneapolis, MN. Carleen thanks God for the gift of art and the opportunity to enjoy it; her husband, Aaron, for all his willing support and her best friend, Kathy, for her tireless assistance with lines! She will be moving to New Haven, Connecticut following this production, where Aaron has taken a new position in the Aerospace industry. While we will miss Carleen and Aaron, mazeltov in all their new endeavors! | |

Deb Kik (Hannah) has been involved in theater since the age of 12 when she bicycled to her first audition. Growing up in Long Island, she worked on high school, community theatre and college productions. Her first local production was as properties manager for A Shayna Maidel (Actors' Theatre 1989), which launched her into the local theatre and properties scene. Her prop credits include several productions for Actors, Opera Grand Rapids, Ladies Literary Club Theatre, Circle Theatre and Heritage Theatre Group. Deb has also Stage Managed The Importance of Being Earnest and The Cherry Orchard (Heritage); The Kosher Grocer, The Sunshine Boys and The Cemetary Club for Jewish Theatre. She has performed in Rosenstasse for Jewish Theatre, as Abby in Arsenic and Old Lace for Thebes Players and as Gay Wellington in Civic's recent production of You Can't Take It With You. Scott R. Mellema (Tyler Moss) is honored to be finally making his debut at Civic Theater. Over the past twelve years, he has been an active performer and director in the Grand Rapids area working primarily with Circle Theatre. He is remembered for turns as Harry in Lucky Stiff, Sparky in Forever Plaid, and as Che in Evita. He was seen last summer as Nick in the Circle production of Baby. From the director's chair, Scott has headed up recent Circle productions of Camping With Henry and Tom, The Nerd, and the Grand Award winning Smokey Joe's Cafe. In a creative effort away from the stage, Scott has created and implemented a therapeutic humor program titled Clown-A-Rounds which was run at the DeVos Children's Hospital. Scott wishes to thank his amazing wife Cinnamon, son Reilly, and daughter Johnnie for teaching him about love and all the things that truly matter in life. | |

Judy Subar (Bubbe): Among Judy's favorite roles are Bubbe in Crossing Delancy (nominated for a Grand Award), Ida in Social Security and Yenta in Fiddler on the Roof for Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids. Also, Ida in Cemetary Club for Circle Theatre and Ann in The Cocktail Hour for Actors Theatre. She is so thrilled to be Bubbe again on the Civic Stage, and to be working with Bruce Tinker..."such a nice boy." Judy also enjoys singing with the Shir Shalom Choir and serving on the board of the Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids. Her favorite (and best) role is wife of Jerry Subar and real Bubbe to their 19 Grandchildren. | |

Steven J. Anderson (Sam) returns to Civic's stage after a long absence, since playing Renfield in Civic's production of Dracula in the 1980's. During the interim, he has performed in The Lady's Not For Burning, Tartuffe, and She Stoops To Conquer, all for Heritage Theatre; and in Actors' Theatre's productions of Boy Gets Girl, Lonely Planet, Glengarry Glen Ross, and American Buffalo. |
