Dave James Ellens makes his Civic debut in Complete Works and is a very recent graduate of Calvin College with a major in Communications Arts and Sciences (specialization in theatre). His most recent appearance on the community stage was his Grand Award nominated performance in Quills at Actors’ Theatre. At Calvin, Dave appeared in Twelfth Night (Grand Award winner for Best Supporting Actor), Emma, A Doll’s House, Wuthering Heights, The Comedy of Errors, Translations, and The Ghost Sonata. Other credits include The Crucible, The Real Inspector Hound, Fiddler on the Roof, and West Side Story. He enjoys assisting students in the theatre program at Grand Rapids Christian High, and he recently worked with a children’s theatre program in Santa Barbara, California. Dave is currently in search of a job, yet hopes to attend an M.F.A. acting program in the near future. He also has aspirations of teaching theatre and living overseas.

Matthew Flickinger was last seen on the Civic stage in Much Ado About Nothing. Since then, he's frequently helped out behind the scenes working on the deck, running lights, and working in the fly rail. He's also appeared in Circle Theatre's production of The Hobbit and Heritage Theatre's Merry Wives Of Windsor. Matthew is fresh off his year and a half run with Civic'c Improv team, Part Of A Complete Breakfast. By day, he programs web pages and the like for Rapidparts Inc., a local distributor of forklift parts.
Ryan Jarosch last appeared in Civic Theatre’s Much Ado About Nothing. With Heritage Theatre Group he has performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Taming of the Shrew, She Stoops To Conquer, and Tartuffe. He also appeared in Hedda Gabler, Fuddy Meers, and The Food Chain with GRCC Players and in Robin Hood with Magic Circle Theatre. Ryan works at Theatricks and Spectrum Theater. This fall, he will be attending Roosevelt University in Chicago to continue his theater studies.
Adam Nelson makes his mainstage debut with this performance. No stranger to Civic Theatre, however, Adam has been a student of the School of Theatre Arts for eight years and a summer camp Teaching Assistant for the last three years. He last performed for Civic in The Yellow Boat with our 2001 Traveling Troupe. He is studying teaching and theatre at Eastern Michigan University. Adam is also writing novels that he hopes to publish.
Adam Lange makes his debut performance at Civic Theater. Although acting has long been a love in his life, he hadn’t made time for this hobby in 9 years. Before college, Adam was in approximately 14 plays and musicals between 5th grade and graduation. At Northview High School, he acted under the direction of Nancy (Kruse) Hoffman and Judith (Hameline) Pellerito. In addition to various other roles, he was seen as Judas Iscariot in Godspell, and several feature roles in Working. Adam shares a passion for singing with his wife - they performed this year in Calvin Oratorio Society’s performances of Handel’s Messiah and Brahms’ Requiem at Easter.
Keith Henry Matteson (Assistant Director) appeared most recently in Actors’ Theatre’s Corpus Christi. His Civic credits include this season’s Romeo & Juliet, Noises Off, Much Ado About Nothing, and Amadeus. Other local credits include Charley’s Aunt, Private Lives and Philadelphia Story for Heritage Theatre Group; The Cripple of Inishmann, Gross Indecency, and All in the Timing for Actors’ Theatre. Keith says that he is proud to be the “schtick man” for this production.
Rhonda Lehan (Stage Manager) will be graduating, hopefully, on June 18 from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. She has been involved in many community theatre productions onstage and backstage. Rhonda is on the House Managing team at Civic.
