Linda C. Andersen (Maria) is a mother of two and wife to Wes. She is employed at Seaman’s A/C and holds the position as ‘Number Cruncher.’ Linda has been involved on the crew of over 35 shows here at GRCT. Along with accomplishing that feat, Linda has won The James Mitchell Award here at Civic.
Janel Atwood (Margaret) works at VHA Michigan as an Administrative Assistant. She has a degree in Communications from Central Michigan University. Janel ran the light board for "Scrooge," "Camelot," and "Return to the Forbidden Planet." She has appeared on stage in "Macbeth," "Hair," and "Addict."
Matthew Flickinger (Verges) is doing his first role at Grand Rapids Civic Theater. He is employed at Rapid Parts where he holds a position as an applications specialist. He graduated from West Catholic High School and is currently attending GRCC. His previous theater experience includes the role of Bobby in "The Boyfriend."
John F. Freiberger (Friar Frances) is employed at Fennville Public Schools as the Director of technology. He acquired his B.A. in Social Science Education at MSU. He is currently a member to CT’s Acting School. His stage experience includes "Scrooge," "The Boys next Door," and "See how they run."
Terri Heffron (Beatrice) is performing in her first show at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. She is also a waitress at the Red Geranium Café. Terri attended various colleges and is married to Curt Buckley. Her other theater experience includes "The Merchant of Venice," "A Midsummer Nights Dream," "The Rainmaker," "The Philadelphia Story," and "The Importance of being Earnest."
Andrew Hipkiss (Don John) is a father of one, and husband to Heather. He graduated from Michigan State University and is employed at Holt High School as a teaching intern. Among his many previous theater experiences are: "The Crucible," "Working," "Twelfth Night," "The Lion in Winter," and more.
Ryan Jarosch (George Seacoal) is a senior at Catholic Central and in his first Civic theater show. He holds a position at Theatricks as a showroom assistant. His previous theater experience includes "A Midsummer Nights Dream," "The Miracle Worker," "Guys and Dolls," "A Murder is Announced," and "Once Upon a Mattress."
Joe LaChappelle (Hugh Oatcake) is the Grand Rapids Civic Theater’s Facilities Supervisor. He also attends GVSU. Joe has received four Honorable discharges from three branches of the U.S. Military. Joe is a father to several children and a husband to wife, Sharon. Joe has had many previous theater experiences. Among them are: Sheriff Heck Tate in "To Kill a Mockingbird," Kralahome in "The King and I," Tom Carrisford in "A Little Princess," Canary Robb in "Peter Pan," The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come in "Scrooge: The Musical," and more. Joe is also a freelance T.V. and Radio Talent, which includes being an extra on "Unsolved Mysteries."
Todd Michael Lewis (Benedick) is the Marketing Manager at Creativity Inc. He has written four original music scores for shows in Grand Rapids. A few of his theater experiences are: "Move over Mrs. Markham," "A flea in her Ear," "The Rainmaker," "A little Night Music," "Godspell," "Fame," "Macbeth," and "The Merchant of Venice."
Keith Henry Matteson (Dogberry) is attending the Savannah College of Art and Design and getting a degree in illustration and video. He is currently employed at Compulit Inc., holding the position of quality control. Keith has had lots of theater experience including being a part of; "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Peter Pan," " Amadeus," "Noises Off," "Philadelphia Story," "Charley’s Aunt," and many more.
Erin Merritt (Ursula) is the manager of Wealthy Theatre. She is now attending GRCC. She has been a Dancer for twenty-one years. Her first show at CT was the "Little Mermaid." Since then she has appeared in "Peter Pan" and "Guys and Dolls." At other theaters she has performed in "Pippin" and "Fame." Along with being an accomplished actress, she has many assistant directorships and directorships in her past including: "Macbeth," "Merchant of Venice," "A midsummer Nights Dream," "Present Laughter," and "Going to Pot." She is a teacher at the Caledonia Dance Center as well as a professional choreographer. She was recently nominated for a Grand Award as Best Choreographer for "A Midsummer Night’s Dream."
Gary E. Mitchell (Leonato) is a self-employed attorney. He attended CMU, where he attained his B.A. in Business Administration. He is married to Mary Beth. His first appearance at GRCT was "Lost in Younkers." Since then he has appeared in "Born Yesterday," "The Rainmaker," "The Sisters Rosenweig," and "Love Letters." Outside of Civic Theater he has been in "The Lion in Winter," "Anything Goes," "Bye Bye Birdie" "Harvey," "Little Murderers," "The Sound of Music," "The Miracle Worker," and many more. Gary was recently nominated for a Grand Award for Best Leading Actor for his work in ‘Conversations With My Father’ at Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids.
Timothy J. Monianty (Claudio) is employed at Breakwater Consulting. He has had many theater experiences some of which are: "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat," "Fiddler on the Roof," A Chorus Line," "Biloxi Blues," "Lend me a Tenor," "Noises off," "West Side Story," "Sweeny Todd," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Evita," "Midsummer Nights Dream," and "Cabaret," to name a few.
Jon D. Mull (Borachio) is the CNC Programmer at Johnson Boiler Co. He holds a Geology Degree from Grand Valley State University. His theater experience includes: "Peter Pan," "Amadeus," "Cinderella," "Trixe True," "Camelot," "Merrily We Roll Along," "Twelfth Night," "Dracula: The Musical," and "Romeo and Juliet." Besides doing theatre, he plays the guitar and sings in the band "Morpheus." He is also a member of the improv team, Spontaneous Combustion.
Andrew J. Schneider (Conrad) is attending Western Michigan University in January to major in Musical Theater Performance. Among his previous theater experiences are: "Nobody loves a Dragon," "Scrooge," Cinderella," "Trixie True," "Pinocchio," "Fiddler on the Roof," "The Wind in the Willows," "Babe," "Oklahoma," "West Side Story," and more.
Dana Swinehart (Hero) earned her B.A. in English and Theater at the University of Michigan. She has also attended the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City. Her first show at GRCT was the "Return to the Forbidden Planet." She has also appeared in "Desdemona," as Emilia.
Rodney Lee TeSlaa (Don Pedro) is self-employed at TeSlaa Entertainment as a Writer, Designer, Singer and Actor. He got his education degree from Calvin College. He has been in "The Music Man," "The Sound of Music," "Camelot," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Oliver," and more. Just recently, Rodney was nominated for a Grand Award for his performance as Arthur in GRCT's production of Camelot
Winston A. Wheaton (Antonio) is employed by the State of Michigan as a Workers’ Disability Compensation Magistrate. He attended Michigan State University and Wayne State Law School. He has performed in "Lend me a Tenor," "Twelfth Night," "Romeo and Juliet," "Camping with Henry and Tom," "A Streetcar named Desire," "Gypsy," "The Importance of being Ernest," "Of Mice and Men," "To Kill a Mockingbird," "The man who came to Dinner," "Breakfast with Les and Bess," "A Christmas Carol," and "1776."
