Ages: Age 4 through 1st Grade
Gives the very young actor a whole week to explore, create and have fun! Camp is process-oriented but children will showcase what they've learned for family and friends Friday on the Meijer Majestic stage at 11 am. T-shirt included in tuition. Children are divided into groups, roughly according to age. Campers wishing to be in the same group must inform GRCT in writing at enrollment. Campers in all four sessions will participate daily in Acting, Song & Dance, Costuming and Props workshops. Campers bring own lunch with beverage, daily. Camp T-shirt included in tuition. TADC meets Monday -Friday @ GRCT, and all campers perform in a final production Friday afternoon, 3-4:30pm on the Meijer Majestic stage. Ages: 7th Grade through 10th Grade
7-day session: Advanced level -- work required outside of camp hours. Enrollment subject to approval. NO CONFLICTS ALLOWED -- This is a camp for the experienced, self-motivated theatre student. All campers must know acting & tech terms including stage directions/shorthand. All campers will work with power screw-drivers. Campers audition for roles in four short plays on Sunday evening, and are required to read the scripts prior to auditions. Monday morning starts off with announcement of casting at 9am. Campers rehearse half the day, and the other half, are responsible for finding props, building costumes and constructing a simple set for their performance on Saturday, June 30 at 7pm. Campers must wear black pants, shoes and camp T-shirt to work backstage at performance. Campers bring their own lunch with beverage, daily. Walk-in registration Saturday, 3/24 in the GRCT lobby. Meeting times vary by day: Sunday 5pm - 8pm, Monday-Friday 9am - 4pm, and Saturday 2pm - 10pm.
