AUDITION FOR A SHOW
The Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is a community theatre. That means that all the actors who perform on our stage are everyday people who have a talent and interest in theatre arts. Everyone from the novice to the most seasoned actor is welcome to audition for our Main Stage and Children's Theatre productions. From Musicals, to Comedies, to Shakespeare, to Children's productions, there is something for everyone.
Those planning to audition will be asked to read from a script. For musical auditions, come with a prepared song and be ready to take part in a dance audition. Some auditions require advance registration.
Our School of Theatre Arts offers workshops and classes designed to help you prepare for auditioning and acting on stage. If you thought that acting is something that interests you, but you have never really done it before, be sure to see what our nationally recognized theatre education program has to offer for all ages!
